How Our Drop off Service Works
Once you complete the booking form below we’ll reach out to confirm your event date. Please note that we cannot honor your event date until we receive a deposit.
We’ll deliver the movie theater equipment to your doorstep a minimum of two hours prior to your event’s start time. Don’t worry, two hours is sufficient for the setup process. Along with the equipment, we will provide detailed instructions for setting up the movie screen and projector. Additionally, our technical support team will be accessible via phone throughout your rental period, should you require any assistance with the setup. But if you don’t want to deal with the hassle, we are happy to handle the setup and takedown for you for an additional cost.
Once your movie ends, we ask that you disassemble the equipment and securely place it back into the provided delivery box. We will collect the equipment the following day. It’s that simple!

Backyard Starz set up a movie for my twin daughters birthday. They were very thorough and prepared and even had a back-up popcorn machine!

FAQs
Who provides the movie?
You do not need a license if you’re showing movies in your own backyard or home. You can stream a movie from any of the major streaming services or purchase a DVD. You can stream a movie from your laptop or ipad. As long as there is an HDMI port you can connect your device to our projector.
Backyard Starz LLC will only provide the equipment stated in our package ( Movie Screen, Projector, Speaker and DVD player) and not the entertainment or media. Any other equipment not stated in our standard package detail such as DVDs, video game console, laptops, cable boxes, will not be provided. Backyard Starz LLC does NOT provide licenses and are not held liable to public viewings conducted without a license.
What if I don’t have wifi in my bakcyard or the signal isn’t strong enough?
Please let us know in advance if you think your wifi signals isn’t good enough to stream media, we will provide a DVD player.
What is your cancellation policy?
Should you need to cancel your reservation, please be sure to call us as soon as possible at 832-894-4638. Cancellations 21 business days or more prior to the event will receive a full refund of the deposit. Cancellations less than 21 business days prior to the event may result in the loss of your deposit.
What if it rains on the day of my event?
In the event that your party is a rain out, Backyard Starz LLC will reschedule for an available date or return your deposit. Rain outs are called within 48 hours of the scheduled date. We do NOT set up if it is raining. We can set up if you have an alternative covered space.
Do you charge a delivery fee?
Events within a 10 mile radius of our service area are not charged a deliver fee, events outside of the 10 mile radius will be charged a fee of $3 per mile.
How do I know that my booking is confirmed?
We cannot guarantee your booking date until we receive a 20% deposit from the total cost of your package. Your booking is confirmed when we receive the deposit.
What happens if I damage the equipment?
Equipment will be inspected upon pickup. If any product is damaged we will assess a fee commensurate with the expense of either repairing or replacing the item.
Do you disinfect your chairs?
Yes, we disinfect and clean our chairs after every event.
