I’m the owner of Backyard Starz, a local, family-owned business here in the Austin area. We started Backyard Starz because I love helping families create those “my kid will never forget this” moments—without parents having to stress, overpay, or piece everything together themselves.

After hosting a bunch of backyard movie nights and parties, we kept hearing the same thing from parents:

“Do you do anything that gets the kids moving?”

So we built something that’s pure energy (and pure fun): Backyard Starz Nerf Battles.

What We Do

We bring the full Nerf battle experience to your yard, park, or party space—think:

• Structured games that keep kids engaged (not chaotic)

• Obstacles, zones, and battle formats that feel like a real “arena”

• A host-led experience so parents don’t have to referee

• A setup that works for birthdays, school events, team parties, and neighborhood get-togethers

Whether it’s a small group or a big crew, our goal is simple: make it ridiculously fun and easy.

Who We Serve

Most of our parties are for kids, but we’ve also done events where teens and adults jump in (and honestly… the adults get very competitive).

Nerf battles are great for:
